On the morning of March 7th, vice-governor Fei Gaoyun investigated Shenghong petrochemical group, focusing on knowing about the safety production conditions of the enterprise, accompanied by Bai Wei who was vice president of Shenghong Petrochemical Group and general manager of Sailboat Petrochemical Company and Liang Chaoke who was  general manager of Honggang Petrochemical Company.

The team led by Fei Gaoyun successively investigated the project construction site of Honggang Petrochemical Company’s PTA project of an annual production of 150,000,0 ton and Sailboat Petrochemical Company’s MTO project of an annual production of 240,000,0 ton. Bai Wei and Liang Chaoke made detailed reports on the development process and project construction and operation conditions of their companies.

Fei Gaoyun fully affirmed Shenghong Group’s overall thinking of taking industry as the basis, extending industry chain and developing with high quality and knew about the concrete practices of the enterprise in production safety. He emphasized that as a large-scale petrochemical project Shenghong should consolidate the foundation of safe production, fully implement the main body responsibility, and establish sound safety prevention and control and supervision systems with taking relevant  national safety management laws and regulations and actual situation of the enterprise into consideration.

Fei Gaoyun pointed out that in the new era pass of passing from quantity accumulation to quality promotion Shenghong should seize location advantages and make use of the petrochemical industrial park which was a "tipping point" to seize the "commanding point" of industry development to therefore walk in the forefront of high quality development in Jiangsu province.

Vice Mayor Yin Zheqiang and Shi Haibo who was secretary of the Party working committee of the demonstration area and some other leaders participated in the investigation.
